GARDEN DESIGN
What to expect…
After making contact we will arrange to meet for an informal chat to discuss your requirements and what you intend to use the space for. A thorough Client Brief is undertake to gain as much information about the garden as possible including your aspirations for the garden as well as your likes and dislikes. A site appraisal will then be conducted of the space topography, soil and features.
Mood Boards
A mood board is an excellent way of expressing ideas for planting and can help visualise the plan. Colour combinations of flowers, foliage and textures and forms can be paired and shown to give a better understanding of how the end product will look.
Design Stage
We will provide design plans which illustrate the layout for gardens and landscapes. I work with my clients to create a design based on their aspirations and practical requirements. My designs can be either hand drawn or CAD created and show the hard and soft landscaping elements of the garden. Once you are happy with the outline plan we will then create a planting plan detailing the location of the planting and a schedule of plants. The planting plan will detail the quantity, sizes locations and botanical names of the plants required.
The build
Once you are happy with the plans, we can instruct a local trusted landscaper to tender the build, or you can use your own landscaper contractor. We will work with them to bring the designs to life. We then source the plants and set out for planting.
AFTERCARE
A full plant guide and maintenance schedule is provided with all the details of the plants included in the design. We may also be able to provide ongoing maintenance throughout the year to ensure that your new garden is kept healthy and happy for you to enjoy throughout the year.
